I believe
in fostering the poetic potential in all of my students.
I teach the poetry series—Poetry I, Poetry II, Poetry III—where students grow from studying the history of poetry to writing and workshopping their own accomplished pieces.
I also design and teach classes that speak to specific tasks like publishing in literary journals, including Poetry & Publishing, and my students practice plenty of generative writing and revision in The Four-Minute Poem.
For advanced students who want a very close connection to their classmates and strong opportunities to grow, I offer a yearlong tutorial, Jeanine’s Poetry Tutorial, and I meet with poets for one-on-one coaching for the most personalized experience.
Just trying it out? Come to my free, drop-in generative poetry session, hosted the last Wednesday of every month. Here, adult poets respond to texts and prompts I provide for 90 minutes of generative writing and discussion.
