Jeanine Walker is the author of The Two of Them Might Outlast Me (2022). She has received writing fellowships from Artist Trust, The Jack Straw Cultural Center, Wonju, UNESCO City of Literature, and Inprint. Her work has appeared in Bennington Review, New Ohio Review, Pleiades, Prairie Schooner, and more.

A poet with a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of Houston, Jeanine is a long-time poetry teacher and has coached many poets from writing their first poems to getting their first publications.

She was recently an Invited Professor of English at Kangwon National University in Chuncheon, South Korea, and has prepared panels on Korean poetry translation for AWP in Seattle and in Kansas City. Co-translations of Korean poet Ahn Joo Cheol’s poems are published or forthcoming in Poetry, Poet Lore, Poetry Northwest, and The Offing. Jeanine’s second manuscript is Language Lessons, a mix of poems on living in Korea, acquiring language, and visits with a parent in an assisted living home.
